At the push of a button, Trotec's air cooler PAE 51 brings instant, agreeable cooling and turns heated office and living spaces into climatic temples of well-being. When the thermometer climbs to temperatures of over 25 degrees, both mental and physical performance start to decrease. At night, excessive temperatures keep us awake and prevent us from getting the necessary rest to recover from the day's exertions.
A healthy room climate without side effects
The PAE 51 serves to cool, ventilate, refresh and humidify the air.
Unlike an air conditioning system the air cooler PAE 51 does not reduce the room temperature by means of refrigerants, instead it makes use of the natural principle of evaporation resulting in the desired cooling effect. For this cooling process the device needs fresh tap water that is filled into the 20 l water tank. The integrated evaporation filter with honeycomb structure humidifies the sucked-in air and then discharges it as cold air through the fan. This chilled air current provides cool refreshment that is immediately noticeable on your skin.
Our recommendation: The water for filling the evaporative air cooler should be as cold as possible. Use ice packs or ice cubes for an additional cooling effect.

Increasing the humidity level to 50 % reduces the risk of transmission of viruses
Medical specialists have evaluated research findings relating to the resistance of viruses (e.g. SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19), influenza) to air humidity. These findings have revealed that the humidity level has a crucial impact on the infectivity of germ droplets. Dry room air with a relative humidity content of less than 40 % lets tiny droplets infected with influenza or cold viruses dry up. This preserves pathogens so that they remain infectious for a very long time. In the optimum relative humidity range between 40 and 60 % aerosols only shrink so far that the salt concentration in the aerosol core increases, causing the germs and microorganisms contained to be killed. This minimizes the risk of an infection with influenza and cold viruses.
Medical specialists emphasize that we are able to reduce the risk of infection by increasing the humidity level in buildings. Continuous fresh water supply to ensure a healthy air quality.
To automatically keep the water storage tank as clean as on the first day, we recommend using a SecoSan-Stick which keeps the water permanently clean, clear and free from germs or unpleasant odours. The unique feature of SecoSan is its antimicrobial surface with mobile silver ions, which inhibit bacteria and germs upon contact and thus prevent their reproduction. The entirely self-dosing SecoSan ion reservoir keeps the water demonstrably free from germs. The stick thus guarantees clean water for up to 6 months even if the water is changed or consumed daily.
Using air coolers as humidifiers during the wintertime
Air coolers are most effective in rooms filled with dry air. Just like humidifiers these devices operate based on the evaporation principle, i.e. they directly supply the air with cool moisture. This means that for process-related reasons the humidity level in the room is increased perceptibly. During the winter this increase of humidity is beneficial to the mucous membranes. As a result you might be able to avoid catching a cold that is largely caused by the dry heated air. Innovative honeycomb technology: Due to its open structure, a completely wet honeycomb filter comes with particularly favourable evaporation properties for the natural cooling of the air passing through.

The air cooler PAE 51 comes with manifold functions: air cooling, 4 fan stages, natural wind mode, swing function, night mode, timer, automatic switch-off and filter drying. The settings can be carried out either on the clearly arranged control panel or also comfortably using the remote control.
The large 20-litre water tank allows long cooling and humidification times. Add ice cubes or ice packs to further increase the available cooling capacity. The handy water filling level indication quickly reveals how much water is left inside the air cooler and also has a MAX/MIN indication.
By means of the horizontal fins, the discharge direction can be manually adjusted to point upwards, straight ahead or downwards. When the swing function is activated, the vertical air flaps on the inside swing from left to right automatically and spread the air evenly in the room.
To make sure you can always just set the mobile air cooler up wherever refreshment is needed, it comes equipped with smooth-running wheels and a recessed handle. When the device is stored after use, the remote control is stored in the practical holder.
