The Swiss Point Of Care MENO-CHECK rapid test is a test for the determination of high concentrations of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in urine, which is an indicator of the menopause. The MENO-CHECK test uses a pair of antibodies for the specific detection of human FSH and indicates simply and reliably by means of a control line if the FSH concentration in the urine is above 25 mIU/ml. If the result of the first MENO-CHECK test is positive, a second test should be carried out approx. 5 - 7 days later. If the result is positive again, the FSH value has been elevated for an unusual period of time, which could indicate that the test person is going through the menopause.
