Product Information

Ship model for adults. Modeling kit to build intermediate level. The model is made up of high-precision laser-cut wooden boards, hardwood, brass, cast iron and hand-sewn cotton sails ready to be placed. Its construction using a false keel and frames brings the assembly of the model closer to the construction of the real ship. Dutch fishing boats sailed for centuries in the shallow coastal waters of the Zuiderzee Sea. The Zuiderzee was a large inland sea north of the Netherlands. The completion in 1932 of a large dike split it in two, creating a large inland saltwater lake called the Ijsselmeeer and adding the rest of the former inland sea to the Wadden Sea. This model is at 1:35 scale. Once finished it will have measurements of 18.70'' (475mm) length, 4.52'' (115mm) width and 14.76'' (375mm) height. The model includes decals, thus achieving even greater realism. In addition, it is double lined, which provides a better assembly quality. In the box, you will find all the necessary parts to make this scale replica of the naval model. In addition, a wooden base is included to display the model.
