Mermaid Wetwall Shower Panels - 900mm or 1200mm Wide Product Overview: With a huge range of colours to choose Mermaid Trade Waterproof Bathroom Panels are an excellent addition to the Mermaid bathroom waterproof wall panels family. We have been selling Mermaid Wet Wall panels for 20 years and with no compromise on quality at sensible prices you cant go wrong. Mermaid Trade Shower Panels are constructed of either Medite exterior grade MDF or Ply. Covered on the face with high pressure laminate with balancing laminate to the panel. These bathroom wall panels are produced with a square edged finish as standard. A Tongue and Groove panel is available if you need to cover a larger expanse of wall. How it works: Laminated panels are the ideal alternative to tiles and the perfect choice for any shower or wet room. Specifically designed for wet areas, these panels are completely waterproof. Unlike tiles, waterproof bathroom wet wall panels do not require grouting and are incredibly low maintenance once installed. The Mermaid Trade Wet Wall range can also be fitted over most existing surfaces, including tiles and will transform any bathroom or shower enclosure instantly. Panel Sizes: Tongue & Groove - Inter-Lock Panels 885mm or 1185mm widths Straight Edge Panels - 900mm or 1200mm widths Dimensions: Height: 2420mm Thickness: 11mm 585mm Tongue & Groove Panels also available if required. Colours: There are 30 colours/finishes available in the range, see above for the full selection. Hints and tips for successful fitting: Cutting: Always point the decorative face upwards when cutting the panels with a handsaw to size. When cutting with a jigsaw or circular saw, the decorative face should be downwards. Apertures: A clearance of 2-3mm should be left where pipes or fittings come through the panel even where collars are to be fitted. The clearance should then be filled with silicone sealant. Sealing: A 3-4mm gap should be left between the bottom of the Mermaid panel and the shower tray or bath by using packers when fixing panels. The gaps should then be sealed using silicone sealant. Silicone sealant should also be used in all the corner and capping profiles. Wall surfaces: The panels can be fixed to most surfaces using adhesive providing they are sound and free from loose particles. The panels can also be fixed directly onto existing tiling providing it has been de-greased. Fittings: Fittings and shower attachments can be attached directly to the panels using suitable fixings. Cleaning: Panels can be cleaned using normal soap, water and a soft cloth. Alternatively, a non-scratch liquid cleaner can be used. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Are Mermaid Panels for trade only? Q: Do i need to use the bottom sealing trim? A: No, although mermaid advise you to use it, many installers don't. Q: I am unsure how many boards i need.
